A Decade of Dedication and Impact

Integrated Rural Management Association (IRMA)

Empowering rural communities through sustainable livelihoods, women’s participation, and inclusive development for a brighter future.

Women’s Empowerment & Leadership

Fostering confident, capable women to lead change in their communities.

Women’s Empowerment & Leadership

IRMA champions gender equity by promoting women’s participation in decision-making at all levels. Through gender sensitization workshops, leadership training, and support for self-help groups (SHGs), women gain the confidence and skills to lead their communities toward sustainable development.

Livelihoods & Skill Development

Focused on economic empowerment, IRMA runs tailored skill-building programs for women and youth—especially school dropouts. Training in areas like handicrafts, organic farming, tailoring, and entrepreneurship helps create income-generating opportunities and financial independence.

Community Mobilization & Good Governance

IRMA fosters strong, self-reliant communities by promoting collective action. Through participatory planning, village-level committees, and awareness campaigns, communities are encouraged to take ownership of local development, ensure transparency, and demand accountability from governance structures.

Sustainable Natural Resource Management

With a commitment to environmental stewardship, IRMA promotes eco-friendly practices such as water conservation, agroforestry, and organic farming. These interventions ensure the long-term sustainability of rural livelihoods while preserving natural ecosystems.

Empowering Rural Lives, Building Sustainable Futures

At the Integrated Rural Management Association (IRMA), we are dedicated to uplifting marginalized communities through sustainable development. Based in Manipur and active for over a decade, IRMA focuses on empowering women and youth—especially school dropouts—through skill development, livelihood promotion, and inclusive community action. Our work spans 22 villages across the Sadar Hills, where we drive change through self-help initiatives, training, and good governance practices. Guided by a strong belief in collective action and gender equity, IRMA strives to create resilient rural societies rooted in dignity, opportunity, and sustainable growth.
