Humanitarian Response Manipur Earthquake 2016
Manipur was hit by a strong earthquake of 6.8 Richter scale on the 4th of January 2016 that resulted to massive destruction to many houses and causing injuries to many.
CHARHAJARE
Integrated Rural Management Association (IRMA) in partnership with Save the Children and OXFAM India respond to the immediate needs of the affected families in Sadar hills area of Senapati district. Altogether 330 household whose houses were severely damaged and vulnerable groups were covered for the various relief items from Saikul Block, Kangpokpi & Saitu Block of Senapati District.
LEIMAKHONG
For operational convenience, the area is divided into three clusters viz; Motbung cluster - 181 Families, Sapermeina Cluster- 52 Families , Leimakhong Cluster- 97 families.
TYPES OF RELIEF/ RESPONSE
The beneficiaries (Families) were provided with relief material such as, Standard Hygiene Kits, Standard Utility Kits, Tarpaulins, Solar Lamp, Cotton Blankets, Mosquito Nets and Education kits for 660 children. Apart from these three Child Friendly Spaces was also set up one in each of the clusters with different kinds of games materials.

280 benificiaries are again identified from the 330 benificiaries for Cash For Work in 20 days.
DURATION OF PROJECT
The team (IRMA) started the project from the first week of feb.till April 26 of 2016.
